About the American Journal Experts Contractor's Union

Hello everyone, and welcome to the American Journal Experts Contractor's Union (AJECU)

This forum is set up to serve the independent contractors that provide their services to American Journal Experts (AJE), a subset of Research Square. AJE provides English editing services to non-native English speaking researchers to help them improve their scientific articles in the hopes of getting their work published in major journals.

The majority of the editors who perform editing services on the manuscripts submitted to AJE are not actually employees of AJE, but rather are classified as "independent contractors". These independent contractors are paid a fixed fee to edit manuscripts within specific deadlines for AJE.

As these editors are not employees of AJE and thus work from around the world on their own schedules, this union has been set up to serve as a common meeting ground. Here you can share tips, ask questions and trade scuttlebutt with other editors. Additionally, as all of these independent contractors are not employees and instead offer their freelance services to AJE, this union is set up as a place to meet outside of AJE's virtual campus and exercise the basic right of assembly and collective information sharing.

The AJECU is free to join. We ask that you simply be respectful and helpful to the rest of the community.
